Steel braided clutch cable 5 Months ago
Anyone use the Barnetts steel braided clutch cable? Is there any other brands anyone has used? Yamaha shows in their catalogue that they have a full length steel braided clutch cable but the parts guy said it is just like mine.... steel braided down to the frame and then black from there into the clutch. I really don't like the black because it is an eyesore since I have the aluminum & chrome engine. I could see having the black at the bottom if you have the blacked out engine. Funny thing... my brothers 1999 model has the clutch cable steel braided at the bottom around the engine but black at the top coming out of the clutch lever... so ours are the opposite. Thanks for any input.

Barnett cables are SS braid from end to end. Another cable manufacturer is Motion Pro. Barnett is FIRST CLASS. I replaced the handlebars and cables for a customer and the swaged end fitting came off the new clutch cable, I phoned Barnett and they sent another (NO QUESTIONS ASKED).
