If your bike is running strong and you're happy with the performance, I'd doubt that you're too lean. I remember reading some of Odo's comments over on the RSR forum and he said that he'd actually tried to set up a bike too lean and was not able to do it without the bike's running so poorly that you wouldn't be able to tolerate the performance. Your mileage figures coupled with the way you shift would also lead me to think that you're not too lean.

In my case, I've tried to lean towards "lean" if you know what I mean (I ought to be a poet!). That was primarily as a reaction to the "sticky valve" issue that seemed to have some correlation with running too rich.

That's my $.02.
