Can AM Spyder test drive today 4 Months, 4 Weeks ago
Was at Redline motor sports today in Myrtle Beach today and got to test drive one of these! Basicly it drives like a street legal 4 wheeler. Even though the front wheels do have independent suspension, it still doesn't lean that much.

What was your impression of them? I was thinking that it might make a good winter bike. Maybe even stud the tires.

The owner of the company I signed on with, just bought one. He's taking it to N. Carolina friday from Ohio. He'll be on it for a week. He's gonna give me a full report when he gets back.

Test rode them at the same place during bike week.
Yes it felt like a large quad not much for cutting
corners. Maybe when I get to old to ride 2-wheels
The safety systems on it are impressive but the build in
cooler in front is very NICE

Yes it definitely rides like a quad and personally I thought the 900'ish cc engine was too small for the weight of the bike. also it lacks a real windshield so once at highway speeds its really rough on you. One thing that is kinda neat is that it basically takes car tires so in theory, you should get a LOT more miles out of a set of rubber than we're used to now. They offer it with a manual shift (with a clutch like we're used to) and with an electric pushbutton shift like many quads. I also think they should loosen up the suspension to allow the front wheels and body to lean more than it does. Right now it does lean a little but not very much. Also if they could lower the seat "into" the bike rather than being perched WAY on top of it then it would be more comfortable.

In summary, its a 15k, street legal 4 wheeler. Too much money for the minimal difference in innovation they put into it.
