prefered venders? 2 Years, 6 Months ago

first post here, I now have a 03 RoadStar in the family, ( not mine) that I will get to wrench on.
First on the list is the new owner wants (needs) crashbars. most forums have venders that proven trustworthy. So are there any you can recommend.
I like to support local dealers, but our Japanese dealers have made me unhappy too many times.

Dennis Kirk and Chapparal are both top notch, with a slight nod to Kirk on the cutomer service. Every order comes with a pre-paid return shipping label. Also, if a part is back-ordered or out of stock at the source, they will cancel your order AND notify you.

Check out the Lindby Linbar on the net. Nice quality 1 1/4" chrome and they look good too. I mounted mine using rubber washers between the bars and the frame mounts to eliminate potential vibration cracks.

I have ordered from several on line vendors, but most of all Phat Performance. Never had an issue always get the parts right away and no problems with returns if they do not fit. For crash bar I love my Lindby bar it looks good has highway foot rests integral to the bar and very high quality, not cheap though. I also buy quite a bit from Baron's, but find their parts on Phats for less....
