an ass kicker with the big bar engine guard 7 Months, 3 Weeks ago

Hey Fellas,
I installed the Yami big bar engine guard tonight, and I was under the impression that the bar would work with the floorboard extensions. I had to remove my extensions to make the bar work. It was hitting on the brake pedal side. Of course the loctite I used worked really well on the floorboard bolts and was almost cursing myself. Anyway, finally got it installed and put on the Kury. iso wings and am ready to ride. Thanks for listening, my wife wouldn't understand

I have the big bar with ext's. Do your ext's allow you to tilt your boards??

Yeah a little bit. They are from lightening performance from the JP catalog. Fwd. 3in. and up just a few degrees. I can see from the pictures that yours tilt up a bit more than mine.

The few degrees is what hurt the install. Mine allow around 15 degrees and the brake clears the bar. I actually like the tilt that much. My feet feel more planted on the boards.

I liked the extensions. Maybe later on I can get a different set of extensions. The install was a pain. I had to squeeze the bars together to get them to line up. Then I had to get the bolts tight, then take them out, one at a time and try to slide the washer between the frame and bar.

Maybe a pain... but did you notice the thickness of the metal where the bars mount to the frame...3/8 "
Lindy bars that mount to the floorboard mounts ..the metal is only 1/4 " thick...
Check out Barons ....how thick are the mounts
I will let yall be the judge which bars are going to buckle first..

Yeah, once I got it installed, I really liked the way they looked.

JM... I had the same issues... I ended up wrapping a cord and twisting with a piece of wood to get them to come together... also ended up spot gluing the washers on to the bar so that they would stay put as i slid the bar in and around... agrivating to be sure... but I sure like the looks of them!
