Expert Boarder Posts: 403 an ass kicker with the big bar engine guard 7 Months, 3 Weeks ago   Hey Fellas, I installed the Yami big bar engine guard tonight, and I was under the impression that the bar would work with the floorboard extensions. I had to remove my extensions to make the bar work. It was hitting on the brake pedal side. Of course the loctite I used worked really well on the floorboard bolts and was almost cursing myself. Fwd. 3in. and up just a few degrees. Mine allow around 15 degrees and the brake clears the bar. I actually like the tilt that much. The install was a pain. I had to squeeze the bars together to get them to line up. Then I had to get the bolts tight, then take them out, one at a time and try to slide the washer between the frame and bar.   Logged       The administrator has disabled public write access. #73670 Pop Rivet (User) Platinum Boarder Posts: 2745 Re:an ass kicker with the big bar engine guard 7 Months, 3 Weeks ago   Maybe a pain... but did you notice the thickness of the metal where the bars mount to the frame...3/8 " Lindy bars that mount to the floorboard mounts ..the metal is only 1/4 " thick... I ended up wrapping a cord and twisting with a piece of wood to get them to come together... also ended up spot gluing the washers on to the bar so that they would stay put as i slid the bar in and around... agrivating to be sure... but I sure like the looks of them!   Logged       The administrator has disabled public write access.
