Good spot and rust remover. 3 Months ago
|
|
Many may already know this. But I just tried it yesterday and thought I would share. Was starting to get rust specles on the lower part of my pipes and other chrome areas. Seems the rain and road construction here in Ohio takes it's toll. Tried a product from walmart called Never Dull. ($4 can - Basically a wad of some sort of material and a petroleum based cleaner)WOW This stuff worked really good. Turned the pitted spots black. Removed all surface rust spots AND the dreaded road tar!
Just wanted to share this with the group. In case you were looking at your chrome and grumbling like I was.

Our Super-Walmart doesn't carry it for some reason. I'll be checking Ace Hardware next. I've heard before this is great stuff.

ACE hardware should have the Never Dull. That's where I get mine. Another item I found (oddly enough, at WalMart) is Meguire's motorcycle "all metal polish". Works very well and also costs about $4-5.

It's quite popular in the marine industy, you should be able to find it at a marine store as well. Go there only as a last resort, as it will probably cost more ...

I think the Army promotes that as well as Brasso. I have been using those 2 since joining. They both shine/clean everything really good.
