I know this has been up for awhile, but if you do this mod do you have to rejet? I already have a set of cobra hi-boy longshots installed.

I had the same Problem with the K&N being upside down I was washing the wife's van and took a magnet off it and applied to the air breather it fit perfectly and has been there ever since. Quick Simple and looks great.

To all you who have adapted Mr.C's K&N universal air filter to your St*r: Is there any appreciable new intake noise that you hear, and do you find it either good, bad, or neutral?

I was actually on my way to Autozone to place an order for one, when I realized I may be opening myself to an unpleasant and unwanted intake noise... so, is my concern valid, or ungrounded in your opinion?

The only time I really hear any noise is on start up with the choke out. You can hear the air sucking in. When she is warmed up and the choke is back in...you're golden!

Depends on how loud your exhaust is.. I can hear the intake when idling. it has a pleasant sound to me, a little like a jet engine way off in the distance..as soon as I hit the throttle, the exhaust pretty much takes over and I can't hear anything else....
