I will give them a call for the 02 sensors speedstar pipes, I will mention your name Hoss, So many things to get for this bike, and so little time to get it all. These guy's here in the clinic all warned me about spending lot's of money on it. I just didn't believe them until now... Thanks again Hoss

Factoryphoto, You just disconnected the two lines from the rectifyer and plugged them and the popping went away? I have an 08 R* and would like to get rid of the popping. Did the bike run smoother after you plugged the hoses? Thanks for the info.!

yes I unplugged those two rubber hoses and stuck the bolts in. Then where the hoses unplugged from I plugged them up also. When I put the pipes on it popped pretty bad.. Once I plugged that stuff 98% of the popping went away and the bike runs smoother. It will make a little pop every once in a while but nothing like it did.

Thanks! I got the money back from the dealer for the aftermarket pipes they weren't able to supply (not their fault) without any hassle. Thought I'd call Dwayne today and wee about ordering the Speedstar pipes. Still need to figure out the deal with the hardbags.
Let me know if you find out anything.
Thanks again,
tsladden

Well after work today I decided to fix the AIS. It took me about 20 minutes to remove the two hoses and plug them and cap the thing the hoses came off of. NO MORE POPPING OR BACKFIRING!!
Thanks for the tip!

Finally got the time to fix the ais. I cut the hoses in half and found some rubber plugs that fit and plugged both hoses on both sides and all the backfiring/ poping is gone on decel! My Speedstar pipes are coming from Rock Star Moto and I hope to get them on next weekend. Can't wait!

The dealer told me the AIS kit would stop the back fire. It did not work for me. I did notice it ran stronger once I took all the extra crap off. The best results was adjusting the PMS. I have the stock pipes stage 1. Before the adjustments I could make these pipes sound like a cannon going off from a hard accel/decel. I kind of miss the option, if someone cut me off etc. I could get along side and let em have it,

Has anyone checked gas mileage since disabling the AIS? Just curious if it went up, down, or did'nt change at all. I have the popping since doing the Stage 1, but if mileage suffers, I'm running noisy cause I can live with it.
