I don't know what everyone has against the Sears Red and Black jack is, maybe you guys just don't know how to use it . Mine works fine, the price was good. Nothing I don't like about it. I suppose the other Sears jack may be better, I don't know. But for the money, that Red & Black makes my R* go up and down just fine.i am sure there are some good ones out there, and of course we know, opinions are like brains, everyone's got one. i am sure there are people, just like yourself, who are completely pleased with the Red & Black model, but for me, it looks exactly like the "Torin" model reflected in the comparison review offered here. the colors are different but same concept.

for me, the Red & Black Lift was simply too "jerky" and just didn't seem to be stout enough for my Roadie. i tried several times to "ease" the lowering/release pedal, only to have it drop at inch intervals, which was very uncomfortable for me. when i went to SEARS.COM and read the reviews on the Red & Black model, the reviews rated only 1 out of 5 stars. the comments filed by the various people who had shared their experiences were grossly dissatisfied and in so many words said, "Run away in the opposite direction." so, rather than just read a review and not give it a chance, i went and purchased the Red "Torin" (same as SEARS Red & Black Lift) and tried it for myself. BUT, i've got to tell ya - when i lowered my Roadie with that SEARS Yellow Lift, it was just like the professional car lifts being lowered - "smooth as silk."

again, i am sure the Red & Black one works OK, but for me, i just decided to go ahead and invest the extra $100 and and have a little more peace of mind.

i hope this makes sense and helps clarify my position at least.

thanks for stopping by and enjoy your night!

Hey I don't care what kind of jack you use as long as your bike is safe and you don't get crushed by 1000 pounds of motorcycle falling on you. I don't think I have ever seen the yellow one your talking about. I think when I got mine they had the red and black, and some Nascar looking thing in aluminum with stripes and what not. I don't remember seeing a yellow one.
Anyhow, doesn't matter... If your happy, I'm happy
