Well, I ordered my parts today to replace my clutch,I ordered a Barnett PP, and the OEM clutch plates and fibers, and gasket, $326.18, With the GOOD GUY DISCOUNT  and Tax included. From the dealer. Sooooo is there any hidden secrets I need to know when replacing all this other than I need to soak the fibers??????? Special tools????????

In the Tech Articles there is an article on how to install the Barnett. Between that and the manual (which is all that I had) you should have little problem.

I noticed my Midnight Star was doing the same thing at about 30,000 miles. After researching the cause I discovered that the pressure plate spring in the Roadie is a weak point. I like to dog mine sometimes on takeoff and I'm sure that made it worse. I thought about going with a stronger spring but don't like the thought of my hand cramping up at a stop from holding the clutch in. I got an estimate from my local Yamaha dealer and the total job will be around $400.00 I'm gonna go easier on her for the next few weeks, before it gets to cold to ride, and get it fixed in the off season.
