As far as rain. Here's what I would do it I had this MOD. Find a plastic bowl that fits over the Filter but allows air to pass around it. Attach a Magnet to the inside or if your magnet is powerful enough (Some from harbor freight are) Just use it on outside to attach. OR if ya don't like the magnet Idea just drill and use the center hole to fix it to the filter while riding in the rain. You can even cut 1/3 out of it and just point the covered portion FWD and Upward and leave the 1/3 opening downward and back.
The rim of the bowl will catch any water but air will freely pass around it.
I need to do something, My Carb is seriously boiling gas after shutdown.

thought I'd add If set up properly! a Hyper charger is not restrictive nor is too Rich.... especially when your mileage is 44 miles per gallon. total 230 miles per tank depending how hard you are in the throttle.

MS1700 I have a 1700 2006 Midnight see my bike details and we do not have puking what is your fuel flaot bowl needle look like? most Road Stars with aftermarket air cleaners need a #40 or #45 pilot jet to help balance out the extrta fuel from the main jet and needle adjustment you may think by do this setting that it may be rich all it does is BALANCE OUT THE PRESSURE FROM PILOT AND MAIN JET
I run a #190 dj clip @ 3 plus stock washers #45 pilot on my hyper charger my plugs have a brown tint and a half light grey ring around all 4 plugs you will find this essential fuel delivery system Setting on this site]
If you cannot I will email you a copy!it is 8 pages it is the "MUCKER REPORT" FROM KEN SEXTON and this report is on the R.S.Q.
my thought is to lean on the low end pilot jet!
I have done many jet settings to find out the differences on our 1700 but if you have a aftermarket breather try first A #40 PILOT PMS @ 2- 2 1/2 TURNS OUT FROM LIGHTLY SEATED. my guess puking will quit because of being too lean on the low end!
GOOD LUCK!

Do you mean you think I am lean on low end and that's heating it up?
I sent you a PM.
I'm doing Mr C's Air Cleaner and I suspect I will have to re jet I think I am lean on main right now. At WOT it has a stutter to it.

Thanks Flashback! Sounds like a HD 4.5" 5-bolt derby cover would be about perfect to cover the K&N logo then. The other option would be a HD 6-1/8" insert for 8" OEM air cleaners that would cover the whole front of the K&N filter.
