Pics of AIS removal... 2 Years, 9 Months ago
I couldn't get the elbows out with Vise-Grips alone...

1st I drilled and tapped for 1/4-20

The rest is pictoral history I rented the slide hammer from Advance Auto Parts and it made the job easier than I could have hoped for!

After pulling all that useless crap out from in front of that forward cylinder, you can't tell me it doesn't run cooler and get better air. I was stunned when I saw the hole that was made by taking that crap off.

Just got back from about 50 miles, sure feels like more heat blowing off of it. I couldn't really get on it since my wife was trying out her new sissy bar too
Next up, bye, bye fuel pump! Sure looks easy when the tank is off!

I don't know if any of you are aware of this, but they will start smoging bikes next year. So I would be careful what you take off!

Considering motorcycles contribute less than 1/10th of 1 percent of emissions, you really gotta pat whatever shithead senator sponsored that bill.

I haven't heard of a national bill being passed for that yet.

Here in TN, the population of the county determines if you need an inspection on your car. so far nothing on bikes..I really feel if the bike is tuned well, it would probably pass without the ais.... But I saved all that junk, just in case...

Nice pics hllywd

They don't even check the cars where I live, so I find it had to believe they will pick on one of the smallest segments of the polluting public

There was an old guy here in town 25 or 30 years ago that had the most reasonable muffler shop, and for years every time I went in for duals after installing headers said the
exact same thing... "next year...". We still don't test cars or trucks, and I really doubt it will be "next year"! The old guy always put the duals on for me... If it would ever come to that I still have the parts, nobody has bought them yet...
