The K&N kit is made by Dynojet... and I also have a free coupon, but in all my life living here, I've never heard of a local dynomometer anywhere around these parts.

I should attempt an on-line search perhaps.

I looked when i got the kit and there's one here in town (columbus ohio). I had the dynojet kit installed the way they stated in the instructions, but the fat pilot screw, fat main jet and 3.5 turns on the pms made it way too rich. That thing was bucking like a rodeo bull any time i was cruising at any speed. I ended up returning the pilot screw to stock and turning the pms to 2.5 turns. Then when I got the BAK, it came with the mikuni kit (rebranded barons). I follow their instructions and it did a lot better. But recently I replaced the pms with a barons screw (still at 3.5 turns) and it still had a slight chug when cruising in traffic, so I put it at 3 and it seams to be doing well. It's a labor of love.

A good time to add my two cents. I have an 07'Roadie. I installed a set of LA Chopper curved DDs and a Yamaha performance BAK. I installed a Dynajet kit. 175 main, 37 pilot jet with clip on #4. PMS is 3.5 turns out. This thing runs a hole in the wind. I easly go 175-185 miles before low fuel light comes on. I am very pleased with this bike and set.

Do those dd's have baffles? I already get little note on my truck, from the neighbors, about my guitar being too loud. I was thinking of take the baffles out anyways. Maybe put in a couple of washers welded to bolts to still give it a little back pressure.

Maybe my mileage issue is paranoia of blue pipes.

Since switching to a 31 tooth front pulley and installing a SpeedoHealer to recalibrate the speedo/odo, my first trip out went 194 miles before I filled up... I did have to hit the reserve about 3 or 4 miles before the gas pump.

I had already removed the fuel pump, cut down the feed tube in the tank 1/2", but it still "runs out" a little before the low fuel light comes on. Only took on 3.65 gals. Low is usually 3.8, or a bit more.

But I am loving all the mods and the results they have given me.

I just scored an Adjure tri-bar, blue dot headlight for small money. That'll make it look considerably different... and hopefully, better.

AND, if I could just figure how to get a picture into one of those on-line resizing sites. I am so mechanical, but so UNtechno. It's truly comical.

I have an 05 with a barons BAK, V&H short shots, and the Barons (mikuni) jet kit. I'm getting betwen 33-35 mpg. (what am I doing wrong). I noticed a real difference on the highway as far as throttle grip position. Instead of 1/2 to 3/4 without the BAK, it cruises arround 1/3 to 1/2.

That's almost my same set up. I have an '06 with Baron's BAK and V&H short shots, I put the BAK in and adjusted it the way Baron's said. Mine still runs a little rich, but better than it did stock. I need to adj a touch. I get almost 40 mpg when I ride solo , and mid to upper 40's when my wife is with me. It does make a difference in the way it runs.

I'll bet it's more like it makes a difference in how you ride!

Ever had the wife's knees cracking your ribs?!?!?

I'll be getting tires soon. Maybe the extra inch of tread will help my mileage. Then again, maybe a throttle stop to keep me from acting stupid will help too.
