For Curt to inspect 2 Years, 4 Months ago
Ported, plugged, lapped and smoothed. The hardest part was making the rubber inside match the metal and be smooth. Waiting for the maXair to get here so I figured "why not do a little more porting". I eased the edges a while back but was leery on taking too much off. But after seeing Curt's finished product I decided to go all the way. Sure does look like it would flow more air.

It seemed like forever to get the flanges smooth. It always did backfire some so maybe this will fix some of that.

It's OEM. Man that sure makes a mess. It puts a lot of material on the ground, more than I thought it would. Any money someone charges has to be for clean-up

N0THD very nice job I'm proud of you! Now you know what I go thru on every one of them. I just finished one for Rick today. I hope you didn't smooth the tubes out to much as the rough surface left by the 80 grit drum breaks the gas dropplets up better and makes for a better fuel air mixture. Should I start farming some of my jobs out to you?

Since were on the topic of manifold porting, what is the part number for the oversize o-rings? And I hear you on the mess that porting the intake makes. I finished mine up tonight and theres black crud everywhere.

Let's see Curt or NOTHD for a port job. Decisions, decisions.

Just don't use your wife's dust buster to clean up the mess. I had to go buy a new one because everytime she would use it after that I would hear "this damn thing smells like gas!" Now I have a shop dust buster - that still smells like gas!.

Jamie here are some o-rings don't use the Ace hardware 0-rings because they melt. They still work but they melt. Me I collect the rubber in a box undr the drill press and send it of to have motorcycle tires made out of it. (NOT) but it sounded good.

54.0 x 2.5mm
or 2 1/8 X 1 15/16 X 3/32
