Vance and Hines Vs Bubbs 1 Year, 8 Months ago
I'm going to change the exhaust on my bike to short shots. But I'm not sure which way to go. I've seen a lot of people on here talking about their Bubbs but I've always ran the Vance and Hines. Which do you think give a better sound?

My 07 has Jug Huggers my 05 has the Stubbies with torque chambers. I like the sound of my Stubbies the best. My riding budy says the Huggers arn't as loud as the stubbies but to me they are louder. The stubbies have a slightly deeper tone but then he is riding behind me when he listens to them. To me on the bike the Huggers are the loudest to the rider and a slightly harsher tone than the stubbies. Here is a sound clip of them.Bub Pipes

If I were going to short-shot types, I would go with bub stubbies.

I love my huggers. Great sound.

I had vance and hines long shots on my bike when I bought it. I then heard a bike at a show and tracked the guy down to find out he had BUB Chaimbernaids. Put a set on my bike the next week (6years ago) and have never regreted it. I constantly get compliments on the sound and alot of guys want to know what I had to do to the motor internally to make the bike sound like that. Its just a stock motor with the right exhaust. No doubt BUB is the way to go.

V&H Short Shots, left the baffles in, sounds great without being overly obnoxious

Thanks Curt! I was leaning towards the Bubbs and after reading what you guys prefer and the clip from Curt I'm switching over. I like my V&H pipes but I want something different.
