Foam blocks 4 Years, 9 Months ago
Can't remember where I saw it but the white foam packing blocks that come with do-it-youself furniture are handy for keeping small parts from rolling/walking away during a repair. Just jam them into the foam and magic marker a name/location by them and everything should be there when you need it. Carve out small holes for washers, jetting parts, etc. I took a 2 x 2 piece of plywood and nailed some 1 1/2" brads symetrically in it and struck the foam to that so it's out of the way but easy to see and get at. Lean it against something near you and you're good to go. My $.03 (inflation).

I use empty Go-jo containers for the same purpose. Parts waiting on you when project is coming back together, all in one place. BB

I quickly read the title and saw Forum Blocks. Oh boy .... I can finally block some people!

Good tip. I'll have to try it out with my socket drawer. The sockets keep moving about when I open and close the drawers.
