transmission hitting hard when i give it gas. 1 Year ago
okay, just wondering if this is normal. say im driving in 2nd or 3rd gear following traffic. and after coasting i give it gas and it seems to hit real hard. feels like the backlash isnt set right. anyone have this problem or is this normal?

Check the splines on the front pulley/shaft.

Sounds like a loose front pulley. Pop the cover off and check the pulley nut.

No, the cover actually has bolts... not hard to take them off... use a 5mm allen wrench... then yes, the cover will just fall off... also, you do have a trans brace as well, that uses a 6mm and 8mm allens to get that off...

thanks alot. if i was home right now i woulda checked myself. i dont remember seeing bolts so i figured it might have just been a cap. geeze, just got the bike a month and a half ago and it feels like ive almost ripped the entire bike apart allready. cant wait till its all tuned up and goin strong.
