I have a 1997glse goldwing and I can't get the rear brakes to work I have no pedal I have bleed the rear and have went through about a pint of fluid and still no pedal I keep seeing air bubbles in the drain line when I pump the pedal but it doesn't firm up any. The front brake works fine any ideas?

Try leaving hte cap off and letting it sit over night, this should allow air to escape.

Linked brakes. The front actuates part of the rear, and the other part of the rear is seperate. You will probably have to bleed the banjos to get it cleared well. Go to a Gold Wing Forum and search it. It can be a bigger pain than bleeding the hydraulic clutch.

Hope this helps, and you get it sorted. Also, did something lead you to bleed the brakes?

On these bikes the foot brake operates the rear brake caliper and one front caliper as it is linked braking system. The hand brake only operates one of the two front calipers. I can't remember which caliper is controlled by the hand brake. Once you check out which one is actuated with the hand lever, then check out the other front caliper and bleed that side with the foot brake(rear) system.

The brake pedal controls the rear brake & the left front brake. The right front brake is controlled by the brake lever on the handlebars.
