Yamahawg, that looks real good. I just did the BAK mod by drilling holes in the airbox, wish I had seen this first. But, I guess I'll have to do this. How much difference did you notice on the performance? did you rejet after the addition? I think you said you were going to.

Sundance, If you use this mod you will probably need to re-jet..I'm a little suprised that you did not after opening up the stock air box...but yami does have a habit of jetting them rich...

Hey Mr. Cancilla,
I have a question or two regarding your air intake setup. I read through the entire thread but didn't see any info on what your settings are for your jetting and pms. The reason I'm asking is because it looks like I'm headed down that same road and I just wanted to get an idea of where to start. I'm going to do something a little different though. If I have enough clearence between the top of the filter and the bottom edge of the tank, I'm going to mount the cover from the Ness Big Sucker kit. If that's all I were doing I wouldn't worry too much about rejetting because both set-ups are very similar in size, etc.... But I'm going to install a ported manifol also, so I'm thinking I'll have to rejet.

Thanks for any info and as everyone else has said; Congrats and nice job on the custom intake!!

In The Wind,
Aaron

Nice Bike!

I've been looking for just the right air cleaner,I looked at many options but for the price and the info on how to make your own. I like yours the best. Thanks, when I make my modifications I will show you.

P.S. If my bike looks like a V-Star its because it is
