With the recent Delphi outage [10-5] I re-found this message board.

I'm Mike Bain from "Beautiful downtown Elko, NV"

I've ridden a R* since 2000 and Viragos since the late '80s. My dad introduced me to bikes as a kid and I rode Yamaha and Suzuki dirt bikes for years. I like Cruzin' the best.

I have been messing around all morning trying to get a handle on how this board works... Think I'm gettin' the hang of it now.

Hey there Mike; I'm Ole Bob, from the keystone state, Pa. This forum is OK, but I sure do miss delphi. Just seems to me that everything was easier there. Later.

GRAM:

My name is Jerry but I go by TreeDr on the forum - I couldn't seem to get out of school and ended up with a PhD in Forestry. I started riding on a 1969 BSA Victor Special back in the days of kick starters and bruised legs. That bike taught me alot about working on your own machine as it required major tightening and replacement of parts after almost every ride (I'm sure some of you out there have had similar experiences with bikes you started on).

I spend most of my time in San Diego but retreat to northern California each year to teach one semester - guess I am what you call semi-retired. When in SD I enjoy the surf, sun and outstanding riding weather. I still have a bunch of the southwest to explore on the bike but I'm working on seeing as much as I can.

Nice to meet folks out there with similar interests.
