New to the Forum with a few questions 3 Months, 2 Weeks ago
Hi, recently purchased an 02 Roadstar. The previous owner installed a set of Sampson exhaust, a hypercharger, and a Dyna 3000. Anyway, as of now the only change I want to make is the handlebars. My question is, if I were to install a set of beach bars, (38 inches wide and 17 inches pullback) will the stock cables and brake line work. I do not want to change them. Need some experienced advice. Thanks in advance.

Everyone must be asleep or you would usually have a dozen answers by now. LoL

I have only changed from the Double T drag bars to standard factory bars but I doubt you could keep the same cables and lines.

By the way...

Man I'm not sure about that, I put a set of risers on my bike with no problem at all, it was 4 up and 3 back as I recall. No problems with the cables, wouldn't want to get much more that that or they would have been stretched tight. You'll get your answer as soon as some people wake up....lol.

I have the Barons Nostalgia beach bars 36" wide and 13 1/2" pullback. interesting you say your bars have 17" pullback?? I searched high and low for the most pullback (was looking for 14 1/2" and Barons was the most I could find anywhere. Anyways I could use my stock cables but they were very tight I switched to 2" over stock and it's just right. If you have 17" pullback you will NOT be able to use the stock cables probably 4" over my guess.

Good luck
Steven
