I was searching on passing lamp maintenance and found this site, decided to sign up even though I don't have a Roadie. The Stratoliner is my second Star (had a V Star 650 before this, and an early 80's Yamaha 650)and I love it. Living in Colorado, I like the injection, and the torque, for mountain riding. I've had the Strat for a little over 2 years and have a little over 16K miles. I get to ride pretty much year round, but leave the snow alone (so far).
I'm on my third set of tires, the first two being Bridgestone. I got almost 10K on the first set, less than 6K on the second, and now I'm trying Dunlop. I already like the feel of them better than the Bridgestones. I get 42 - 46 MPG riding to work, and have made 51 MPG in the mountains on all-day rides. Not bad, indeed.
Oh, and I figured out the answer to my question prior to posting, so I'm all set. Sometimes you just have to wade in and do it without a manual or instructions (since the manual doesn't cover passing lamps).
Great to be on board.

I have been out enjoying my 'liner this evening , as a matter of fact. Hawkermech , be sure to go to our HOME page , look in the left hand column for Delphi watch (forums) , and get involved with the Strato/Roadliner boys over there.  BB |
