Hey Gram,
I've started riding since my divorce back in 97, first with a rusted 1985 1000cc Yamaha Virago (very cheap) and reliable till I sold it just over a year later.
Then picked up a 96 Suzuki 1400cc Intruder and loved that thing as well. Very fast and nimble but still small for my build (fat ha ha). Came out for a 10 day vacation with 2 other friends to Torrance, CA and rented roadkings for a ride up the PCH and into Palm Springs. Had a great time with great friends. At that time I decided motorcycling was something I'd stick with.
I lived on Long Island, NY most of my life with the exception the military has moved me around. Ended up with a 2000 Yamaha Roadstar after seeing it in an ad back in 1999 while on duty in PA. Went to the local dealer there and fell in love. Once getting back to LI, picked one up and then started hanging out with other Roadstar owners such as Ken
aka Mucker, Bob aka Coldstar, Bill R., Jimmy, and others. Great bunch of guys and we became the Long Island Roadstar Riders with a growing following.
Ended up relocating to Southern California in April 04 and continued doing some more "bike work" to personalize it.
I just joined up with Star and Jim T. with the 345 chapter and looking to making some friends on this side of the country.
I got to meet you one of these days, you're so close but so far! ha ha.
have a good one
Andrew
