OVRTAXD:

Welcome. VA here also.

The good news: FI models do not required an aftermarket fuel processor if you change either/both intake and exhaust. You'll simply "over-engineer" for no good reason. All (including me) can confirm that the bikes run strong without it.
The bad news: You will have to make sure the new pipe have the bungs for the O2 sensors. Or, simply have them welded on. $40.00+-

As far as starting, yeah that's common. Let the fuel pump finish it's cycle before you hit the button.

Collectively, there's more knowledge here than any dealership regarding modding the R*. And, you can trust the advice, for sure.

Welcome again.

Thanks Rich. The Cobra slip on mufflers use the stock header pipes so the O2 sensors will remain as is. Looks to be an easy mod, plug AIS hoses, put new mufflers on then ride!!!

Yep. All there is to it. Sorry, didn't notice that they were just the slip-ons. You're correct.

If you need an hour project, you can take off the whole AIS system. Really cleans up the front of the motor.

The next time I do a ride/show down in Richmond, be sure to come out. Look foward to meeting you.

Enjoy the new bike.

NOTHD,

Just what we need a few more tourists! If you need any info on the area drop me a PM and I'll do what I can to help you out. If you bring your bike with you I might be able to point you to some more rural countryside for a ride.
