Well, I went and did it! I rode my sweet new (to me) '01 Rodie home from the dealer tonight! 
Big thanks to everyone who dropped advice in my introductory thread, and I'll post some pics up for you all to eyeball as soon as we get some sun around here 
In the meantime, my cool weather and rain gear is going to see some action, 'cuz I ain't wating!

It took me a while to get comfortable to my scoot and I ride every day to work.

Congrats on your new R*. Had mine (99) 5 months now and ride it every day. Rain gear is hanging in the garage drying out (good soaker today)for yet another wet day tomorrow. I ain't putting her away till the snow flies.  |

I've ridden a Hurricane 1k, a whole bunch of 2 cycles, and an assortment of vintage and 70's - 80's metrics that I no one else wanted anymore. I even had one of those wacky Czek bikes when I was a kid. That thing may have run twice a month! 
This is the biggest by a fair bit! It is a much nicer ride than any of the rest. |

congrats on the "new" bike i,ve had my 01 since 01 and it has always been faithful except for the odd battery, and in all this time I am on my 3rd battery. it's like most things you take care of it and it will take care of you.
