That happened to me while I was taken the BRC so I could ride on base and it went dead right inthe middle of my figure 8 turn. Had to work on it for about 30 minutes and couldn't figure out what was causing it.
Got power back but it would die as soon as I turned the key, so the instructor got on it and we push started it and left it running till the class was finished.
I got it home and started checking things out. I found that when I moved the cables I could get power back to the bike. So I would recomend that you check your cables and clean the terminals, and that should take care of your problem hopefully.
