Murry,
I get my plugs at Advance Auto Parts. Their part # is 5129, and they're $2.49 apiece. Good luck working out this little bug. You won't regret it.

OK....thanks for all the responses all were read and i finally got to work on my bike today, I changed the oil to Mobil 1 and followed the oil change instructions i found here. I'm still waiting for my plugs to come in but i went out and purchased some cheap plugs just to get me by till the iridium ones arrive. when i pulled plugs out I had 2 different kinds installed. ngk in 3and4 denso in 1and2 now the ngk plugs looked ok but the denso plugs looked like they came out of a 20 year old bike. ran her around the block(about 5 miles,it's a big block) and what a difference unbelievable. 1little question i have and it's how do you check oil level, i know what it says to do and i ran the bike for at least 15 minutes, let it idle for 30 sec,the bike was level and still looked overfull, i let her drain real good and i put 4 quarts in....2 quarts 1st let run for 15 seconds and 2 last quarts in. IDK what i'm doing wrong but looks overfilled to me....now let me say that i"m an ASE master truck mechanic, went to college and all that and LMAO if i can figure out whats what with that oil level...my youngest son is a wyotech grad, top of his class he was and he's smirking at the old man trying to figure this out. so any more help with this....thanks again

Glad to have you.
I had to change plugs in mine when I bought it too. Now it runs great.
As far as the oil, if you took 4 quorts out and put 4 quorts back in then it is full. Don't worry a great deal about the dip stick. It's most useful purpose is to keep the oil in the tank. Watch for oil leakage and have a fun ride. In a few thousand miles you'll take 4 quorts out and put 4 quorts back in.

Did you drain the engine AND the oil tank? You need to do both to make sure all the old oil is out, I also spin the engine once or twice and usually about another 1/4 to a half of a quart comes out.

Spin the motor over a couple times....with no oil in her....really? No premature wearing of the bearings from that? Just curious, I never heard of such a thing.
