I agree. It's unfortunate that something bad will have to happen before any action will be taken. I would think the obvious fix would be a fuel injection retrofit kit to convert the carb bike to FI or a new carbuertor design. Has anybody contacted Mikuni to see what input they might have? Mine always pukes when I park it in the garage...my theory is there is less air circulating around the carb and potential for heat soak boil-over is greater. I have several ingnition sources such as the garage door opener, hot water heater, etc. Yamaha's lack of concern over this problem has really tarnished their name for me and I've had Yamaha motorcycles for over thiry years but this will no doubt be my last.

As I've mentioned before, I work in the automotive fuel pump industry and external fuel leaks of any kind, are of the greatest concern and not taken lightly due to the high potential for loss of life and property damage.

I'm hoping some law firm picks up on this problem and initiates a class action law suit.
