Just wanted to post an intro before i got started, CHOP CHOP CHOP, bought an 03 midnight star and have seen a great deal of pro street mods, sooooooo, i started, and before i knew it, i am now going to rake the front end.

Welcome to the site. I don't want to spoil your enthusiasm; however, if you haven't, I strongly encourage you to (i) fully reseach raking the front end and (2) ensure that it will be done right. Currently, I have a 6 degree raked triple tree on my bike and while it looks really cool, making turns can be challenging. I live on the borderline of North & South Carolina where we have lots of winding back roads--while I love the look of my raked front end, I do find it annoying at times. In my opinion, you're not going to be able to make quick and easy turns.

But anyway, enjoy the bike and mods.

Thanks for the welcoming gestures, i'm excited to get started. I'll try and post some pics of the tear apart party in progress. Raking the front end i want to make a 12* rake in the front end with 4" extenders on my forks and 2" down in the back this should even me out? Any how, still researching the subject on the site.

Firstly . You have certainly come to the right place. I have learnt so much about maintenance and modifying my Roadie in the short time I have been here. I am also thinking about raking but as it is my regular ride and rally bike I am still undecided. There is no doubt it looks awesome.Keep us posted.
