engine noise 1 Year, 11 Months ago  
MY BIKE MAKES A NOISE LIKE A SLIPPING BELT FROM THE FRONT CYLINDER UPON DECELRATION ONLY GIVE A LITTLE GAS AND IT GOES AWAY OR PULL IN THE CLUCH AND IT STOPS IT ONLY HAPPENS WHEN THE MOTOR IS BEING REV BUY THE BIKE FORWARD MOTION.

These bikes are not quite, but it could be lifter noise too, would almost have to hear it to help you on this one.

Yep, they're noisy. If you still have stock pipes you will hear everything. Usually a loose belt will chirp on the rear pulley. They do make a whistle/whine noise at the times you described. I always thought it was air going into the carb, but they all do that.

I HAVE HINES PIPES I AM VERY LOUD THE NOISE IS ONLY WHEN NO GAS IS APPLIED AND THE RPM IS HIGH COMMING TO A STOP

Thank you. I am very familiar with these sounds, but mine only occurs with the throttle off and the engine decelerating the bike. It's a high-pitched squeal very loud going down a steep mountain pass it squeals continuously. Any help appreciated

So it's only when you are "Engine braking"?

Turn you caps off that is shouting. Your drive belt is too loose you should only be able to twist it 45 degrees when grasped half way between the pulleys. When you adjust it measure from the center of the swing arm bolt to the center of the rear axle. Both side should measure the same and if you can only twist the belt 45 degrees it is adjust correctly. Don't worry about getting the belt to track in the middle of the rear pully it will never stay where you put it. BTW
