Newbie from NC 1 Year, 4 Months ago
Hello All

Just now getting back in to bikes after a 20yr absence. I just bought a 02 R* for what seams to me to be a steal of $1800 does have 43K on it though. If I can get the photo to upload you'll see that it has hard bags, wind shield, light bar, and what I believe is V&H Pro pipes on it. Now I am told that it has not been re jetted but needs to be, I have done some reading on here and it seams that it may not need to be, just the mixture screw adj. it this correct? If you guys and gals have any ideas on the bike please speak up. Also thanks for all the great info that is already on here.

espressodude from Texas. I have to agree with smoke you stole that bike. From the looks of your pipes you could use a jetting. I see you have an after market air filter so with that and the pipes it might be best. First thing is we need to know what you have in the carb for jetting so you will have to tear into it. I would recommend the Baron's jet kit to use. Also need to know where you live so we can figure out your elevation. You go an awesome buy there so get ready for some fun.

espresso, from Slidell, LA

You've got the same air kit as me, SSCC Hi-Flow Air Kit. http://www.sscustomcycle.com/products/engine/roadstar.shtml With that and the pipes, you should rejet. Shane at SSCC is a great guy and will assist you with your needs.
