I'm back on 2 wheels!!!! Hello from the upstate of South Carolina! I feel like I’ve won the lottery by accident again and learned about an entire group of friends I never knew existed. I am fairly new to the R*, but I won a Sportster back in 2001

(that's a story for another day) that I rode for awhile. After a few children came in the picture, I sold it

and bought a pop-up. That was fine as long as we were camping, but every time I’d see a bike while riding around in my cage, I felt as if something was missing.

Fast forward to Labor Day Weekend 2011 and that's how long of a dry spell I was having. I have ridden friends' bikes here and there, but nothing to call my own over the years. I had been impressed with BigDaddyCoker's R* after a ride or two and might have mentioned that I might be looking to call one my own. Well wouldn’t you know that BigDaddyCoker found one for me that a friend of his was putting up for sale? Anywho, it was a sweet ride but taking a turn while still getting use to it, I went down and did some pretty rough damage.

I was pretty upset as that’s not the way I wanted to really start out on my new bike. My thoughts were it would sit in my garage for 9 months or so as I worked on it here and there. Well, BigDaddyCoker asked to keep the bike for awhile at his place and then let me know he knew a place where we might get some help and advice in putting it back together. Enter the friends I didn’t know I had and in a very short time in my mind, she’s back together and running like a charm. I was blown away by all of you taking a part in getting me back up and running and I was not even a member. Thanks for all the help, advice, swapping, giving & selling of parts. I still feel incredibly lucky to have a community like this behind me. You folks are unbelievable!!! I look forward to learning a lot hanging around here. Thanks again.
