Hello, my name is Joel, and just bought myself an 01 Road Star this past weekened. quite a bit of a jump up from what i had, an 04 Hyosung GV250. I also just got my license, and have been riding just under 2 months, and have rode about 1500 miles. i absolutly love my new RoadStar, even though i've had it 2 days, but i could make it about 50 miles before my back stared aching on the Hyo. Anyways, about myself, i'm active duty military, stationed in Great Lakes Il, i'm married and have 2 kids. i look forward to what seems to be an abundance of information on the RoadStar community that seems to be on this site.

@brown91redcam- i'd say, i was cmoing up to a stoplight last night, and it changed to yellow right at that point where you either slam on the brakes, or speed up and go through it, well i decided to go through it... i was 4 blocks down the road before i realized what happened! well maybe not quite 4 blocks, but this is 7 times the bike i had! i love it. i got home from the dealer i bought it from which was about 70 miles away, and when i got off i coulda swore i just got off my recliner. i love everything about this bike. i think the only thing i'll miss with the Hyo is the 68 mpg. but i think i can look past that...
