Hello from Maine 11 Months, 4 Weeks ago
Hello everyone.

I've just installed apes on my 04 midnight. I am having a hell of a time getting the front breaks to bleed. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thank you!

open the bleeders and let it gravity bleed or just keep pumping the lever. It may take some time but it's a slow process.

from Northeast Iowa.

I belive if you leave the top off of the resivor, put some pressure on the lever and tie it off over night would do the trick too.

+ 1 on pumping the leavers. It takes a few minutes to get it going.

On another note

Hello and welcome to the Clinic. I played hell with mine until I read this PDF and did it his way. Took me about thirty minutes after that. The Key is to bleed all of the banjo's individually. hope this link works. http://www.sloneservices.com/SilverBack/VStar1100-FAQ-04.htm#Bleeding click where it says How To Bleed Brakes from Steve Schneider - CycleForay.com - Get it here - his site is down. Click the get it here of course. Good luck. All of my air was trapped in the Manifold under the triple trees.

If you leave the cover off, tap the upper line and barely squeeze the lever, you'll see bubbles.

Do that 100 times and you should see the pressure start to come up.

And, welcome.
