Welcome to ALEX & Yamikaze!!! This is a great site. Your choice of a R* was a good one Yamikaze. At your size, if you would have gone smaller, you would have been buying a bigger bike in in 3-6 months. However, with your lack of experience, you WILL want to take it slow and easy till you feel very comfortable and confident on her. It's a big machine with a lot of power and only 2 wheels. Don't get cocky because you rode it a few times for a few miles.
You'll feel when your comfortable, then your just gonna love it!!! Don't be afraid to ask ANY question here. There are no stupid questions on this site and you will not get any condescending answers. These folks like and want to help, and they are real good at it...
Forgot to mention, I traded my Vulcan Drifter in for my R*.

It's not a bad bike for someone who has basic riding experience. Just take your time and get used to it at your pace. Don't let anyone rush you. She's a big bike but pretty friendly.  An empty parking lot is a good place to practice.  |

hello everybody,,,my name is chad im from Bristol TN i purchased my 99 roadie a few months ago i had a cbr900rr and decided i was getting to old to bend over all the time so i fell in love wi th the roadie,,,i rode it for about 2 hours then starter tearing it down for a rebuild with my taste,,,so far i sprayed it hott hues tango and shavd the rear fender smooth doing a 21 inch front wheel and building a air ride setup for it now with an air bag not a cylnder,,,i will add some pics of the bike asap,,,this ia a great site lots of usefull info,,,thanks again

Don't forget to get on the "Where members Live" list. It's interesting and helpful if your planning a ride. I know I'm looking forward to meeting some more of these folks if they ever come out here to the Rockies.
Or when I cruise the PCH this summer.  |

yea took me along time,,,i guess i rodae it 2 hours before i tore it apart,,lol i cant wait to ride it again,,, are the pics showing up,,they are just showing a x on my work computer,,holla back and i have that corbin solo seat for sale if anybody wants one,,i did a different style
