A Big Hello to everyone!
Sorry I jumped right in and skipped this 'formality'  I've been scouring the boards for a few weeks now and really appreciate all the help I've gotten here. My bike's been purchased and sent to the shop for a little work so things are finally quiet and I can take the time to introduce myself.
My name's Larry Brown (or DownTown) and I'm a corrections officer in upstate NY.......Saratoga Springs. I've been back into riding for the past 4 years after a 14 year hiatus. For the past 3 years I've ridden an 02' RS Warrior, and while I loved it, it wasn't very hospitable for my better half. After a lot of looking around I came back to my initial choice for a two-upper....the RoadStar. Looking at everyone's bikes here really sealed the deal and I'm much into everyone's debt. The Roadie really can be anything to anybody........from stripped bobber to full dresser and everything in between. I'm NOT an artistic person by nature.....it's very hard for me to visualize things. But seeing your bikes has really helped me know which direction I want to take my RS. I have no regrets on my choice and can't wait to get her 'just right' for me.
I stopped at the shop last night to see how it's going and he had the drag bars installed -- MUCH BETTER! Hopefully I'll have her back early next week and the weather will cooperate for a little riding. I'll post some pics when she's done (<--LOL! yeah, right.... done!?! LMAO!)

Hey Downtown,
Welcome aboard, I also used to be a (K-9) Corrections Officer in Lancaster county a few years back.
I will be going thru your area at the end of June, we will be trailering our bikes up to our cabin near Lake Placid. I have been talking to our friends about taking a ride down to Saratoga Springs for a nice day trip, my wife loves the town, and my freinds wife loves to shop, my freind and I just love to keep our wives happy. That way we get even more riding time in.
I started riding my R* last spring and I love it, can't get enough of it. Today is the first day of spring so that means it is getting close to riding weather.
My bike is still apart in the basement, but should be ready once the weather breaks.
