I just got home at 3:30 pm. 837 miles. Kenny, a local Meetup rider who joined us on his F6b took Tykes Place and I back to Olympia via some great twisties I have never been on before. Five Roadstar riders and five Meetup riders each day. Fabulous rides both days. For those who didn't attend, you missed a great time. The Oregon hills and coastline are indescribable. Photos to come later. Hats off to MikeyC and Jaybo for hosting a great event.

Daryl, aka TykesPlace has most all of our collective pictures as well as some great helmet cam footage. He will be posting more once he gets back home in Montana.

Mike and I were privileged to host everyone and each lead a ride. Our Friday ride was a little mellower, with myself leading, and we were able to cross 5 covered bridges, view 2 more along the way. Started with a ride across the Buena Vista Ferry, and some farmland and rolling hills, along with 2 graceful U turns, perfectly executed by all 10 riders to test their ability and then make perfect right turns on the roads previously passed! 171 miles was the final tally. Map of the ride can be found Here

Saturday was led by Mike who took my original thought for the route, made it go the other direction, added in a Mary's Peak climb that us faster guys went up ahead of the others for a spirited traffic free run up some pretty sweet twisties! The view from the parking lot near the top was pretty sweet, and impressed the newbies, and made us vets smile as it always does. We needed to edit the lunch stop from the Brewery itself to their pub across the bay due to a 45 minute wait. We continued inland along the coast on some back highway roads with some seriously scenic farms and twisty roads and back out to the coast highway for a ride back South to Newport and then back to the valley to the compound in Albany.

The route back on Hwy 20 was shall we say just a little bit more spirited, When out of the blue Shores decided to test out his rev limiter in the upper gears, pass us all, as well as trucks and cars in his way! We had to all work on keeping up with him but it allowed us to make up for some lost time and get started on the evening social time. The BBQ was great, lots of visiting, with bench racing and ride stories, talk of future NW Starfest events. Total miles for Saturday was 246 miles. Map of the ride can be found Here

While several people had to cancel for valid reasons we really would like to grow the event and get more RoadstarClinic folks to attend. We promise not to not to disappoint in our ride planning, but do know we will be riding! We just need to figure out how to get more to commit!

Thanks to all who attended, we hope you enjoyed our efforts to put on a good event with interesting ride trips!
