My new 2007 Roadstar Silverado 3 Months, 3 Weeks ago
Hey guys, I'm pretty new to riding so decided to take the rider training course. I know this probably isn't a beginner bike but it fits me well and I got a deal I couldn't resist. I picked it up on Friday and I've been riding it non-stop ever since. I love this bike and it gets alot of looks! I need new pipes for it though it is kinda quiet. Does anyone have any suggestions on new pipes or taking the baffles out, please respond. I can use all the help I can get.

Hi adouty. Welcome to the clinic. I have a 2004 Roadstar Silverado and running Vance and Hines longshots HS on it. They look and sound good, although I just went to the quiet baffles for them to knock down on the higher pitched tones. Now they have just a deep rumble.

I know you will enjoy your new bike and congratulations on buying one. They are a lot of fun and seems to be very dependable bikes.

Ride Safe ...

You can drill the stock pipes out and get a much better sound. run a search on here, plenty of opinions on drilling out the stock pipes and even a few videos on how to do it and what it will sound like. Nice to have you with us.

There is also an article in the Tech Articles tab on drilling exhaust.

Before you start drilling, check these out. I figured for $100 I'll leave the stock mufflers pristine in case I want them or want to sell them down the road. I'm very happy with my Khromewerks slip ons. And so are several others here. Do a search.
