Wild One Photo Op.... 3 Months, 3 Weeks ago
The wife and I took a ride to Roslyn, WA yesterday. For fans of the television show "Northern Exposure", you may recognize this place as Cecily, Alaska. While there, we stopped at the "Brick" (the state's oldest operating saloon) for a hamburger and ran into the Wild One. While we'd seen the "Wild One" in Cecily before, this is the first time we stopped to get our photo taken with this icon while on the R*! .

Cool pic! I have several photo's from out west where the small towns use the side of main buildings for murals(?) , they just don't do that here in the south for some reason. BB

In the south, all the sides of buildings have faded Brown's Mule and Redman ads....hehehe

Lake Placid, FL has murals all over town. The largest is the side of a Winn-Dixie grocery store. I think it is 175 ft long and 30 ft tall.

One artist has done several of the murals and I don't know how he does it, but he makes a lot of stuff look like it is 3d.

The city of Toppenish, WA refers to itself as the City of Murals. The town is full of murals painted on the side of buildings. Pretty neat place to visit. Many of the murals have a western theme or one associated with the strong agricultural influence found in the area. Here's a link to a couple photos of the many murals found in Toppenish...
