Welcome! I have a 2001 R* and have put something like 11,000 miles on it in the past year. Best bike I can remember owning and riding. There are some pretty nice and savvy folks here. You may want to check out the Star Touring and Riding folks too.

Thanks for the welcome. I have another seat, a mustang seat with a back rest and a removable windshield. If I know I'm going highways speeds for sometime I will break out the windshield, I just like the looks of the bike without it.

Good lookin scoot! Open a Pay Pal account, get a credit card that mama don't know about and watch EBAY very closely! Many folks here that have been riding since they invented the wheel, many have or had HD's and still love the RS. I never had an HD but I like to be different.
