OEM Brigstone milage 2 Years, 10 Months ago
HOw many miles are usual on the first set on the Midnight Star Silverado. I have the Bridgstones with 12,500 on the bike and they are not worn out. Front still looks good!

I have 11,500 on my 2005. The back is getting a bit thin. Front still looks good. When it comes time to replace, what are other people replacing with and how do they ride? Anybody go with a wider profile on the back?

Back when I rode an XS850 I liked Dunlop 404's so I'm going to try them on my R* when it's time to replace the tires.

I had 6800 miles on the rear bridgestone ......worn slick........front tire may make it to 8500 to 9000 ... but I found out they were under the recomended pressure... I ride 99 % of the time 2 up....so if this bridgestone dont wear any better...Ill try something else...

Tires wear depending on how aggressive the rider is... this goes in a couple of different wear types... mileage and wear patterns... I had a guy stop in the dealership yesterday that had 14000 miles on the OEM brickstones... I was amazed, but he also drives slower and not aggressive at all... food for thought...

I got 6500 on the front and 8,000 on the rear. Both were slick when I replaced them. Put Dunlop Elite III on. Now have 12,000 miles on the bike and both tires look like I put them on three to six months ago. Not new, but plenty of tread. Good luck in choosing.

8k on the back before replacement, 10k on the front and still riding with it and it's starting to cup some.

I've had good luck with Dunlop 404's and Metzler 880's. I like the Metzlers, but they're a little more expensive.

I got about 9500 out of the rear, switched to Metzler 880's front and rear at that time. Now have about 8200 more on the Metzlers and they still look good, expect about 12 to 14k out of the rear by looking at it now.
