Hey there everyone!
This last Saturday the Portland Chapter of Star Touring and Riding held their 8th annual Show N Shine.
I entered my 2001 Road Star and took home a second place trophy in the CUSTOM category!
I was competing against some very very expensive bikes, never thought I stood a chance!

It actually IS an Indian fender. It's for a 99 Gilroy Indian. Picked it up for $99.00 when they went out of business last time...
It mounts pretty easily. The only thing is that it is set up for a single disk brake. So, I converted over to a R1 setup with a Warrior master cylinder.
And, thanks everyone! It was a blast.
Kinda frustrating talking with he other guys in the Custom category. I've done everything myself (except the actual painting) and take pride in what my vision is accomplishing. But, 99% of the other folks either bought their bikes that way or just changed the paint. For example, the 1st place winner bought the bike with all the mods done and just painted it. And, the third place winner did NOTHING! 
Well, I'm not done yet... I'm going to put a springer front end on her and, unlike most folks, I'm going to run it WITH the Indian fender. Plus a spring solo seat etc etc etc...
