small update 3 Years, 8 Months ago
didnt get a whole lot done recently, been busy, and the EasyRider show was this weekend..

but..

i internally wired the Yamaha double T bars (well as much i could.. they i could only do the top part they are blocked off on the riser section to the main cross bars..) but it did clean it up alot..

got the bags pretty much all trimmed up for the pipes now. so there is some clearance for the pipes near the bag extensions..

got some 3.5" t bolt clamps, im gonna make some exhaust mounts that will attach to the bag mounts so they dont wobble around as much while the bike is running..

i have a set of passenger floor boards on the way (wife is happy about that)
and i got my fork lowering/spring kit from progressive suspension in.. that will be going together at some point.

i gotta get my tail/turn/brake light setup figured out.. still debating what to go with.

still have to order a front brake line and get that ran..

i did get some momentary switches for the air ride, instead of the crappy on off switch that was previously on there.

im thinking about some gauges for oil pressure/ oil temp / and volt meter.. but i dont know if they will fit in the fairing the way i need them to. there is limited space for them, and the smallest gauges i can find are 2".. good size, but the depth of them have to be a certain depth. so im still looking that over..

and i need to find a good place to plump the oil temp gauge.. anyone know where to plumb that into on the RoadStars?

i really wanted a set of gusseted apes, but after doing some measuring, it just isnt gonna work for me. i have to short of arms to really be comfy with apes. but damn if it wouldnt have looked good.

i also need to find some stock style front signals.. i want the clear lens ones. been looking on ebay, but i would like to find a good deal. anyone got some for sale?

i think thats all the updates i got at the moment.. so on with some pics

wiring the bars cleaned it up real nice

not alot to report yet lol..
got my wires all re connected and heat shrinked
started on my rear exhaust hangers im making
got some passenger floor boards in and installed
got a little more dremeling on the cutouts for the exhaust on the bag extensions, i think they are good to go now
got my fork seals ordered and and ill do the progressive fork lowering kit this weekend
got my spiegler braided brake line in and mounted for the single caliper setup
bought a new rear tire i need to install
im going to port the intake
and i need to rejet the carb as well

talked to my painter yesterday, he is about 2 weeks out right now, so im gonna try to get him my parts next week sometime, and hopefully i can get the stuff back end of march.. atleast im hoping..

aside form that.. had a little scare with it not starting, turned out to be the plugs..

but thats about the jist of it at the moment.. things have started to slow down a bit, but its about ready for paint, which excites me!
