My baby goes into hibernation 6 Months, 4 Weeks ago
Well. after a short cold ride, I ran the bike out to my shop where she'll spend the winter. Since the place is so dusty, I bought a Cycle Capsule to store it in, or as my gf calls it, a "motorcycle snowglobe". A friend with several bikes has them for all of his and highly recommended it. They're supposed to keep the bike clean and moisture free. They go for about $250.

Hopefully we'll get some more warm days, but since I'm gone all week, I wanted to get her out there before the salt hits the roads. One of these days I have to move somewhere warm.

That also looks interesting. Not sure if its needed, the manufacturer of the capsule says it eliminates all moisture by changing the air 3-4 times an hour. http://www.carcapsule.com/
I may try it anyway though, I like overkill!

I hate to see you put it away...I know my days coming...hell, I hardley got to ride this year. I put a whole 900 miles on it since march. I should have 9000 to 10,000 on it by now. That bubble with vetilation is a cool idea...might have to check that out.

I'm sure it will get out a few more times as long as they don't salt the roads first, but there is no water @ the garage, so if she got salty going there I wouldn't be able to clean it off. Basically, better safe that salty.

Re:My baby goes into hibernation 6 Months, 4 Weeks ago
I happened to look at the weather radar on Saturday, I think it was, and saw the snow indicated south of Buffalo. I guess seeing this post from you shouldn't surprise me...my time's coming soon too. Last year I held out until the last weekend in November. I'm hoping for the same this year, but, just like you, as soon as they threaten to put salt on the roads...that's it.
Cheers
