RKCould you elaborate on the charging system issues? 2004 is the year Yamaha switched the motor from 1600cc to 1700cc, but they left the already-underpowered charging system from the 1999-2003 models on the 2004 model year. The charging system didn't get upgraded until 2005, so we kind of fell in between the cracks. Someday I'll get the 2005 stator/regulator and put them in, but until then I can't run 55W passing lamps instead of the 35W OEM ones...if I do it drains the battery...
