#453819 Mr_Shamrock (User) Platinum Boarder Posts: 2901 Mother Nature was in a good mood today... 4 Months ago   After some crappy weather the last few days today ended up being absolutely beautiful. So I grabbed the camera and decided to take a ride. I came across a couple trains that are left over from the retired tracks and couldn't resist a photo op. I had to park on a bicycle trail to get pics of one and I got a few nasty looks from some cyclist but it was worth it... And this one is at a local park which is part of Furman University... The new tires rode and handled great. I want to see how they wear since they are cheaper Shinko 777's. So far I couldn't be happier, besides how hard it was to get the blue crap off the white walls. FYI tip for getting the blue of WW tires....plain old very hot water. it just melts off with very little effort. Steven I tried that along with every other trick I could think of and it was the hardest I ever came across (and I have mounted a ton of tires). As much as I hated to use a solvent the only thing that worked was a little bit of mineral spirits on a brand new white rag. I immediately cleaned them with some soap and water when I was done so I don't think I hurt anything. I used to have some spray I got from a my cleaning chemical supplier that worked everytime and was made for that purpose, but I don't think they make it anymore. But your right usually some very hot water with just a touch of dish soap would do the trick.
