Mother Nature was in a good mood today... 4 Months ago
After some crappy weather the last few days today ended up being absolutely beautiful. So I grabbed the camera and decided to take a ride. I came across a couple trains that are left over from the retired tracks and couldn't resist a photo op. I had to park on a bicycle trail to get pics of one and I got a few nasty looks from some cyclist but it was worth it...

And this one is at a local park which is part of Furman University...

The new tires rode and handled great. I want to see how they wear since they are cheaper Shinko 777's. So far I couldn't be happier, besides how hard it was to get the blue crap off the white walls. They came out pretty nice if I do say so myself though.

Just tell the cyclists your riding a bike....
FYI tip for getting the blue of WW tires....plain old very hot water. it just melts off with very little effort.

I tried that along with every other trick I could think of and it was the hardest I ever came across (and I have mounted a ton of tires). As much as I hated to use a solvent the only thing that worked was a little bit of mineral spirits on a brand new white rag. I immediately cleaned them with some soap and water when I was done so I don't think I hurt anything. I used to have some spray I got from a my cleaning chemical supplier that worked everytime and was made for that purpose, but I don't think they make it anymore. But your right usually some very hot water with just a touch of dish soap would do the trick. Oh well it's done now.

Hot water and an SOS pad will do it every time.

Yeah I finished early today - not that I couldn't have found more to do if I really wanted to.
