air filter 4 Months, 1 Week ago
I was going to take a look at my air filter, I hit 4000km, and wanted to see what shape it's in, I undid the bolt in the middle of the airbox cover, and the bottom of the chrom plastic cover is free but the top not so much .

What am I missing? Help

Cheers

And don't be surprised if the stock filter falls out in pieces, the glue they use comes apart sometimes. And your not the only one stumped by that.

...and let us not forget that you have to loosen the clamp on the carb intake to pull the assembly off, too.

First time I took mine off I almost pulled the carb and manifold loose from tugging on it so much until I remembered that. DUH!

when the carb pukes gas out it eats the glue.. the oil from the blow by hose also does not help either.
the K&N replacement filter is much better, but by than you will probably be looking into a BAK or something...
