Platinum Boarder Posts: 1549 New Pulley - New Belt? 3 Months, 2 Weeks ago   OK, I swapped out my stock 32-tooth drive pulley for a 33-tooth pulley off of a 1600. I see in the parts breakdown that the 1600 drive belt is a different number. So....does that mean I need to replace the drive belt as well? At the very least, I will probably hold onto it for at least a little while to see if I have any "issues" with the 33-tooth. May end up like a lot of the forum folks and keep all my stock parts in case I need to go back to stock or want to sell. I'd recommend you keep it until you decide whether you like the 33 or not and then sell the extra one. Since I am not a 'oomph from the red light' rider and do a few longer trips, I'm just going for the more relaxed top end. When I run I-95 to GA, for example, it's 70-80 mph for about 8 hours of that trip....and about 34 mpg.
