Rear Brake Pad Replacement 3 Months, 2 Weeks ago
Has anyone succeeded in replacing the rear brake pads without removing the mufflers on a stock bike (I have a Silverado)? I pulled the cans the last time, but I know I can remove the caliper mounting bolts with the pipes on, just not sure what else might be a problem.

The stockers lasted almost 20k miles and still had some meat on them. The replacement kevlars only lasted about 8k miles on the rear. Going back to stock.

So I found out. The answer is 'yes,' you can replace the rear pads without pulling the mufflers if you are patient enough, coordinated enough, and have hands my size or smaller.
