2nd fuel filter?? 3 Months, 1 Week ago
OK guys, whats involved with geting the "other" fuel filter changed on the bike ? I'm going to town to get a main filter and change it. Wondered if I should get the other and do it. I have had some minor sediment in the bowl this week after picking up some bad gas.

There's a fine screen in the tank and a screen in the fuel inlet on the carb. I don't know of a second filter But I'd like to if there is one.

Thanks Musky...I saw a post a while ago and I thought doc said there was one at the carb inlet. Either way I guess she's gettin' cleaned or changed.

There is also a strainer in your petcock that can be cleaned with compressed air as well....Coug

That's correct ...

1. strainers on the petcock inside the tank
2. in-line fuel filter
3. small sintered filter at carb fuel inlet

If you have sediment in the fuel bowl it's not unrealistic to expected that the one of the jets may be clogged.
